HILL: TERROR WOULD BE GOP BOOST
By GEOFF EARLE

August 24, 2007 -- WASHINGTON - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton yesterday raised the prospect of a terror attack before next year's election, warning that it could boost the GOP's efforts to hold on to the White House.

Discussing the possibility of a new nightmare assault while campaigning in New Hampshire, Clinton also insisted she is the Democratic candidate best equipped to deal with it.

"It's a horrible prospect to ask yourself, 'What if? What if?' But if certain things happen between now and the election, particularly with respect to terrorism, that will automatically give the Republicans an advantage again, no matter how badly they have mishandled it, no matter how much more dangerous they have made the world," Clinton told supporters in Concord.

Hellary is right..more

For once I agree w/ my junior senator, any attack or even serious threat before 08 or before the actual election would boost the GOP as all dems are seen as limp wristed when it comes to terror.

I have stood in the blazing sun w/ the NYPD shortly after 9/11 at a pay hike rally & she was the only politician loudly booed by our brave 1st responders (I was of course among them).

Of course being in a terror major hit list spot, I pray nothing like this happens, but afraid it's just a matter of time.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich Stands Alone Opposed to Sept. 11 Commemoration Resolution
Tuesday, September 11, 2007

E-MAIL STORY RESPOND TO EDITOR PRINTER FRIENDLY VERSION
WASHINGTON — Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Democratic presidential candidate and no stranger to contrarian views, was the sole congressman Tuesday to vote against the House's Sept. 11 commemoration resolution.

Tuesday's nonbinding resolution was a relatively short document. It had 12 "whereas" clauses — stating things like what happened the day of the terrorist attacks, who was affected and how terrorists have been targeted since then — and six resolution paragraphs establishing Sept. 11 as a day of remembrance, extending sympathies to families of victims who died and honoring those who have fought in Afghanistan and Iraq.

"It is important that Congress wake up to the truth and exercise its obligation under the Constitution to save our nation from being destroyed from the lies that took us into Iraq, the lies that keep us there, the lies that are being used to set the stage for war against Iran and the lies that have undermined our basic civil liberties here at home," Kucinich said in a statement.

Is this man a nut or what, couldn't get more than 2% of the vote take him off the debate stages...and he wants to impeach Bush, this clown should be impeached! Hillary is right, she didn't say it but dems are panty waists on natl. security.

On Heels of 9/11, Clinton Fundraiser Raises Eyebrows

Justin Rood Reports:

Just days after the sixth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, Hillary Clinton and several Democratic lawmakers will be getting uncomfortably cozy with moneyed interests who have stood to reap billions in post-9/11 homeland security spending, watchdog groups say.

On the sixth anniversary of the attacks which killed nearly 3,000 people, Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is slated to attend a sober memorial service near Manhattan's Ground Zero.

One week later, the junior New York senator is scheduled to speak at a homeland security-themed, $1,000-a-plate fundraiser for her campaign in the downtown Washington, D.C. offices of a powerful legal firm.

Hmmmm..we want her to be stronger on homeland security, but not to the extent of getting in bed in The Lincoln Bedroom w/ 9/11 profiteers..o' the gold old Clinton selling of bed space..those were the days my friend..we thought they'd never end.....

Terrorists thank Cindy: You light up our lives
Islamists: Sheehan 'gives us hope' U.S. will change Mideast policies

Muslim terrorist leaders are "thankful" for the efforts of activist and congressional candidate Cindy Sheehan, stating in a new book Sheehan's anti-Iraq war activities and her statements against President Bush "give us hope" the U.S. will change its Mideast policies.

"You [Sheehan] give us hope and you show us that there are different Americans than those whom we know," stated Ramadan Adassi, chief of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group in the West Bank's Anskar Refugee Camp.

"This sincere woman says what we've been saying all these last years – Saddam never threatened America or its security. Now Iraq is being decimated and America is losing. Voices like Sheehan's show things can change," said Adassi.

Unfortunately Hell-ary may be a profit-tess ...the enemies of the US may think the dems light up their lives..while they plot to light up our bridges, ports, malls and tunnels
