Ooh! Fabulous idea! Now I just need to make the drive to Sonic so I can use a cup for artist inspiration.

Any weather is good cheesecake weather - that's one of the best things about cheesecake, it goes with everything .

I'm doing good, I guess. I got up, got myself to work, and that should be enough of a accomplishment for the day in my book. Some folks around here think I should work too, but I'm not sure I'm buyin' into it today . Actually this has been a really quiet week - I hope next week is too, and then I'm on vacation.

I love quiet weeks before vacation...I just never seem to have them.

***this just in***

Apparently overnight someone decided to spray paint some graffiti on the church I work at. (I didn't see it when I came in). Oy.

No, you don't understand she has to go to have the full Sonic experience food and all. Google just won't do.

It's really a shame, but fortunately the area they hit was small. I didn't even notice it when I came in, but I may have been disoriented from the lack of visible parking lines in the parking lot due to that fluffy white stuff.

I'm still not sure whether I parked in an actual space but I tried to estimate as much as possible. lol.

Can I get some cookie dough with my cake batter? Unless, of course you are serving cheesecake dough... nah, give me both anyway.

I'll let you enjoy your coke while I enjoy my invisible Dublin Dr Pepper!

Well, kiddos, I'm ready to announce:

Monday I put in notice to resign from my job. The main factor is so I'll be able to spend more time with that awesome family of mine. I'm ready to be a SAHW/M, sans the mini-van. I'm a little sad to leave this job, but I truly believe this is something I need to do.

Since I'm transitioning from the work world, I've given the church 2 months to find a replacement, so I'm not leaving immediately, but it's coming soon. I can't wait.

Hmmm...well, there IS news in here. I haven't checked in a week or so.

Nosy me wants to know all kinds of stuff like;

what made you come to the decision that you didn't want to work any more?

How will you handle the lack of finances? (not implying that the awesome new hubby can't provide, mind you, but it's gotta be a blow to the exchequer, right?)

What will you do as a sahm that you can't do now? (I used to be a sahm, and still would like to be, but often wonder now if I might better use my time AS a sahm since I know a little bit more about prioritizing time...)

Will you be ok without a vehicle during the day? Or will you have transportation if you need it? I'm assuming here that you are getting rid of the mini-van because once you quit work you will not need it nor be able to afford it. Could be my assumptions are wrong...

And of course, you are free to ignore all my nosiness.

Heya, Shallbe!

The mini-van was a joke - I sometimes have this funny vision of soccer mom's driving mini-vans around all day, and I was just saying that I wouldn't have one of those mini-vans. lol! I'm keeping my car! It's paid off!

Finances have already figured out and won't be a problem.

I just want to have more time to do the things I'm already doing - volunteering at cheesecakelette's school, doing stuff for our church, taking care of the house, cooking more family meals. Of course, I hope to squeeze in time for some personal things, like playing my grandma's piano.

So very wonderful that you are now afforded the luxury of doing all this! I hope you enjoy it very much!
