(((((Aimes))))))) Sorry you were having a rough day.

Today my presence shall be lighter than usual. My replacement is coming in for me to train her. I LOVE TRAINING PEOPLE! (And not just because it means I'm leaving a job...lol). I guess the teacher in me loves to "teach". All morning I've been thinking about what I'm going to show her. I think she'll only be here for an hour today, so I should plan accordingly.

You are gifted FB, most people do not like training other people at all, or are not good at it.

Very true. I can't train and I really don't have patience for people who think they don't need training.

So what's your next assignment IWFNE?

FB, how much longer do you have to work? I always liked training too. For me, mostly because it meant I was leaving a job though... ha, just kidding. I used to work in a bank (way back in the stoneage) and I was always the one that trained in new tellers.

It is kind of gray and yucky here today. At least the temp is still pretty high for around here at this time of year. Yesterday we actually broke a record! 61* . I know we will probably get more snow this month, and maybe next month and the month after that and ... etc. but I can always dream that this is really spring...

Today is back down to around upper 40's to 50ish, but it still feels pretty darn good. It's way above our "normal" temps anyway.

Good luck on the next assignment - hope it's one you will enjoy doing!

Me too!

Day 1 of training is complete. I feel I gave her just enough information to barely not overwhelm her! lol. I think she'll be okay, just giving her a lot of information that I think she'll need to know. Fortunately, she's not new to the church secretary business, so she knows how things typically operate. lol.

Mike, I'm glad your employer is being understanding!

Through the stained glass window in my office, it looks like it's a beautiful day. I think I shall go home in a few minutes and enjoy the outdoor sunshine!

Well, my employer is so far, I do not know what they will say if my Dr. gives me any more days off. I went for a walk earlier and while my back is in pain I was able to walk fairly ok.

Mike, since this is an ongoing problem, you may want to check with your doctor re: getting approval for the Family and Medical Leave Act (aka FMLA). HERE is the website with more information. If you do qualify, then your employer would be required to give you up to 12 weeks/year of unpaid leave time (which I know doesn't help pay the bills, but still...).

I would ask your doctor about it.

Understandably. But at the least this would help ensure you can keep your current job.

Happy St. Patty's Day, everyone!

This was my Irish grandmother's favorite holiday. Every year she would deck herself out in green from head to toe! She had a lot of spunk, a lot of fiestyness, a lot of love, and a lot of joy! Her smile always lit up the room.

I hope this day brings you much joy and life!

And I hope the same for you, my friend. I didn't go to school today because I have an audiologist appointment today.

Umm... Yippee?

Tons. The VA is testing my hearing to see if I can hear or if I'm just ignoring people.

Haha! When my grandfather was alive (mom's dad) and my dad would be up to his usual shenanigans after dinner, my grandpa would pull out his hearing aids because he was tired of listening to my dad's ....oh, never mind. That's a TOS.

Selective hearing is great!

Your grandpa is not the only one pulling the turning off the hearing aids trick.

Hehehe, that might be me someday, Miss Giggles!

Good morning, everyone! It's Friday! Last night I made a huge discovery in the almost-2 year old case of whether IWFNE likes cheesecake. The man owns not one, but FOUR (okay, really 3 1/2) mini-cheesecake pans. He tried to keep them hidden, but you can only hide for so long.

We were going to make cheesecakes last night, but this tired girl was TIRED!

*passes around cheesecakes to share*

Ah Ha, the truth comes out! I knew he had to at least be a closet cheesecake fan, he's just too nice a guy not to be.

I'll take a piece of that cheesecake FB, <looks innocently around for the cheesecake>
