Glad your tv is working in time for shark week! We used to watch it all week too.

I like the picture of you and your grandpa :)

I'm going crazy.
I'm so bored at work today. All my responsibilities just stopped. And the phones aren't ringing.
And the co-workers who I usually talk with during the day are gone today.
So I have nothing to do. I'm so bored. I'm going crazy.

And I'm irritable so every little thing other people do that would normally just bug me are driving me insane. I want to throw things at people.

Prayer for my sanity would be much appreciated right now.

OK. So we my boss has a new boss. His title is "Director of Customer Relations," and he oversees technical support and customer service. The first thing he wants to do is meet with all of us and meet us. He said, "The goal here is to create a context for discussing our success here at Company, and then start working on some of the continuous improvements we'd all like."

He wants us to come prepared with answers to the following questions:
-What you consider to be your particular professional strength(s)
-A recent situation that allowed you to play to this strength
-What’s working and what’s not working here in CS/TS
-What keeps you up at night

Is it just me? Or do the first two questions sound like I'm interviewing for my job? I'm really tripping over this. I don't know why. I shouldn't be concerned at all and I should be stressing over it, but it's really freaking me out. I don't know how to answer that question. I guess I feel like I have several strengths, but I don't know what my professional strengths are and how I've used that.

Hmmm ...... guess I should spend some time in prayer over that this weekend. My appt with him is Tuesday morning, and I'll e-mail him my brief answers to the questions on Monday.

OK. Eric found a nail in a tire on the saturn. He took it to the tire place and they said that the tires so worn out it can't be repaired and that they all need to be replaced. There's $400 we don't have.

I don't like those kind of questions either Christine. I think for some it causes second guessing. I also think some (like me) tend to over analyize (sp) the whole thing, thus making it more stressful than it was meant to be. My first thought at the first question. Define "professional strengths". Especially from the eye of the one who will be evaluating the answers. See what I mean?

I remember that picture you have as your avatar. I forgot where you said it was, but looking at it now, that small, it looks "futuristic."

I wonder if Catherine is frying in the heat wherever she is right now. I know she is traveling VBS right now.

To the nail in the tire and needing all new ones. We're kind of at that point too. You do 10 times the amount of daily driving that we do, so praying you can find the money for those tires for safety sake.

Hi Scarlett/Beth I went and red Hatfield's blog last night. Good stuff! I see he just started it early this month.

Well .... we financed the new tires. I'd rather pay cash, but we don't have it. Hopefully I'll get a bonus this month and we can use it to make some payments on things.

My avatar pic was taken somewhere in downtown denver in a tunnel or under a bridge. I don't remember where. Maybe I'll ask my mom.

I think I have a good answer for the first 2 questions. I overanalyze too Sharon. I was thinking I have personal strengths, professional strengths, personality strengths, and strengths that pertain to my specific job. I just don't know how to make it fit. I typed up my answer and it's sitting on my computer at work. I'll post it here and see what y'all think. I showed it to a co-worker of mine and was told it sounded good. I don't know why I'm so nervous. I think that I'm afraid that he's heard some untrue rumors about me, but I don't know if any rumors exist. I think I'm just in a funk this week and this is making it worse.

I had a very productive day. I cleaned the livign room, kitchen and dining room. Went shopping (bad .... I know) and got 4 shirts at Penney's for a total of $18; and a couple undergarment things from NY & Co. I got those on sale, but they still weren't cheap. But I needed them as my last couple are too small or ripped to shreds.

I then washed the Honda (it's so pretty now) and did a little grocery shopping. I was very pleased with the produce, so I got lots of fruits. Eric's making dinner now and I'm finishing up the worship stuff for church tomorrow. It's been a nice day overall.

mm fruits. I love fruit.

I wasn't as productive as you but did pick up a free king mattress/box spring set, which we aren't sure if it's better than the one we have.. so right now we have 3 beds in the apartment.

Then we went to bosses house and swam/hot tubbed. They are gone for the weekend but I'm pet/house sitting so they said jump on in. So we did :)

Then over to work to give insulin injections and home again. Feeling tired!!!!

We never wash the truck, we should tho, it's DIRRTYYY!!!!

This is only the 2nd time I've washed teh Honda. It's been through a gas station car wash a couple times.
My goal was to kill the spider living in my mirror.
Next weekend maybe I'll wash Eric's car.

I hate spiders, and guess what are all over my bosses house????????? inside and out!!!!!

eeeek

but a lovely home, tucked into the woods, very nice. i'd be willing to house sit forever.

Think i may go slather myself in lotion and sit until it soaks in. I feel parched for some reason.

tomorrow is my meeting with the boss man. I have my questions for him answered and e-mailed to him, per his request. I'm kind of nervous, but Eric assured me that everythign would be OK. So, since he's my husband and knows everything, I believed him and am not going to worry about it. I'm really tired though, and I think I'm gonna head to bed now.

I'll see y'all tomorrow.

OK. So this is how I answered the first two questions.

What you consider to be your particular professional strength(s)
The ability to mange my time, organize my thoughts, ideas and projects, and multi-task; all while problem solving and finding solutions.

A recent situation that allowed you to play to this strength
I oversaw the tech support end of a big projoct; which involved managing my time, organizing materials/data, multi-tasking this project with the tasks of my other TS duties, and problem solving the new problems that were previously unknown since the software was brand new.

Can y'all please pray for me? I can't go into details, but just pray for me. Pray that I do the right thing. Sadly, I know what the right thing is, but I don't want to do it.

Thanks.
