That is awesome! I love the nuva ring, but it gave me a yeast infection. My body just does not like anything natural. :(

Another month of not pregnant for me, which is good. It seems 40 days must be my new normal cycle interval. I do not know what happened to cause that. My last period started January 11 and now this one will probably be in full swing tomorrow which is February 21. Hum. I guess I will look for my next period to start on March 31.

Mine have always been long. I kinda like it that way. When I was on bcp I felt like I was getting my period every time I turned around. I like getting it about every 6 weeks. That's normal for me.

Have you been tested for PCOS?

Hmm...are you charting? If so, and you don't mind, would you link them (if you use online software)...because long cycles *can* sometimes be an indication of a hormonal imbalance. Not always...but if they were once 27-32 days and are now 40 days that would, to me, be an indication, of something else going on...

Nope, I don't chart. We just use condoms for birth control.

Clag is right, it can indicate that. But stress can also mess up cycles. And cycles have always been long for me. Here's my thing, if you aren't trying to get pregnant, aren't having any other bothersome problems, then just watch it. That's my $.02.

I sorta agree If PCOS is a possibility then there are other things to be concerned about and not just the prevention of pregnancy. It's about overall health.

Not everyone who has long cycles has PCOS. I have long cycles, have always had long cycles and I've been tested several times for PCOS. Comes back neg everytime. Some women are like that.

I know that. It was more because of the very big change in her cycle that raised a red flag for me.

Well, since I will be gone for the next 2 and a half weeks (during fertile time) and I only have one nuva ring left, I'm gonna let it pass. Next month Ray will be gone during my fertile time which leaves only one possible opportunity to catch an egg. We will just be careful during that time and probably use condoms or just abstain.

The nuva ring was not a bad experience but since we won't physically even be in the same state during my next 2 ovulations, Not TTC should be pretty easy. I prefer to not put the extra hormones in my body if I can help it.

Another good month...Aunt Flo came as requested It seems that since birth and using the birth control for 2 months I have reverted back to 28 day cycles instead of my normal 30-33ish days. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

This month Ray will be away for my fertile time. So, we only have one more cycle when he will be here when I am fertile. Then we are good since he will be deployed.

Well, after coming to terms with my cycle being 40 days now, it has jumped back to 30 this month. I feel quite blech today.

That is strange about your cycle changing, but our bodies do weird things now and then.

Congrats on another successful month of not TTC

I'm sure you know this and probably are charting, but I just wanted to warn you. Your fertile time can jump all over the calendar, especially after having a baby. I got pregnant with my son 1 day before I was suppose to start my period. I got pregnant with my daughter a week before my supposed "fertile" time. Moral of the the story - I never assume when my fertile time will be...............

Thanks for the warning. But if it happens...it happens. With him leaving, we plan to spend a lot of time "together." My body did not do so well with the hormonal BC (started losing TONS of hair and broke out in a crazy rash at the end of my second month on the nuva ring). And neither of us like condoms. Spermicide it is!

Honestly it is not worth stressing over anymore IMO. I don't want to be pregnant yet but I'm also not willing to abstain for the month before he deploys for a year. Being pregnant and having a baby while he is deployed would hoover to the n'th degree....but I guess I'll survive if it happens.

That is an excellent attitude to have about it Sharon!!! And you know I have btdt with being pregnant while hubby was deployed. It was hard, but in the long run it's all worked out just fine. God even worked it out so that hubby would be on R&R at his due date before we even knew I was pregnant!! God is awesome and IF it happens, He will pull you through!!

Hey Macokjc......you said you got pregnant the day before you got your period. Did that period actually come? Was it like a normal period?

I had what seemed like a normal period, starting March 8. Yesterday and today however I have been feeling uber crampy and feeling like another period may be coming. And I'm nervous now that I read your story.

Ugh....am I paranoid or should I pee on a stick?

How post partum are you? Your cycles still might be figuring things out.

Me, well we had an ooops. We used a condom, but some, ok, A LOT of it slipped out the back. I hadn't been taking my temp regularly because of the kids being sick, but when I did, I had taken it for long enough to recognize a shift and this incident happened after that shift. But now I'm having some weird spotting. Probably nothing and I"m not even remotely worried about it. I've had a cycle or two that my lp has been very short, so I'm wondering if this will be the same. We shall see.

Derrek is 5 months old. My body is doing weird things. But the cramping is central, not on the sides where my overies are in the case the pain was from ovulation. And, Ray and I did have a lot of fun after my period ended and before he left for training.

I'll try and relax I guess and just assume my period will show up around April 5 or 6 as scheduled. If it doesn't, I'm gonna have a meltdown.

FWIW I get low center cramping during/near ovulation. Never on the side near my ovaries.

Losing the hair is probably actually from having Derrek, your at about the point where it will start happening. I lost a ton of hair on my head, plus all my underarm hair AND most of my pubic hair. It was wonderful (well, not the hair on my head loss, lol)
