Getting "antsy" here in the UK means being fidgety and unsettled (probably comes from the phrase "having ants in your pants" which people used to say to children who couldn't sit still, lol)

ORIGINAL: manda59 Squash is a fruit-based liquid concentrate, sold in bottles, which you dilute with water to make a soft drink. It contains colour and flavouring (might be natural or synthetic) and preservative(s) plus either sugar or artificial sweeteners. The amount of actual juice content varies from product to product, the dearer ones containing the most actual juice. I don't drink a lot of squash, if I do, it's the 'high juice' ones ~ mainly because they don't generally contain any artificial junk but I think they taste better... I did buy a devine cordial the other day ~ cost nearly £4 for 750ml but it's worth it... can't remember the flavour off-hand.

antsy is a verb...we use that in the same way. antsies is a noun - for those annoying black ants that form a line into your house and get into everthing! Ugh, they were a major pest when we lived in the rural part of FL. It was probably a regional thing.

Mom used to sing a little ditty to us when were "antsy". You've got ants in your pants and they make you dance.

Well, with mom's family being from the swamps of Florida and Dad's family a bunch of scrapping Irishmen - I'm thrilled I can talk at all. My grammar is terrible, but I do try to correct it as much as I can. I've learned some things...like irrelevant should be either relevant or not relevant. Irregardless is not a word. stuff like that.
