I was wondering of oxy clean would get rid of some carpet stains. On clothing I add a little water to make a paste, put it on the spot and it disappears overnight.

I used oxyclean on any fruit juice spilled on the carpet and it removed most of the stains. As for you not being able to go on shopping for groceries and not having the necessary chemical remedies for your carpet like vinegar, you may want to contact a carpet cleaning company. That will make it more convenient especially now that you are very busy with a special event. Carpet cleaning needs not expensive, and you'll get your money's worth, aside from that carpet cleaning experts can get to take care of your carpet without ruining it.

Hi rhoebe and welcome!
I forgot all about this thread. I found some stuff the other day at the grocery store for $1 a can. I bought a can of it and it worked pretty good at getting up some coffee stains. I have also found that SHOUT! works very well too.
