We had an awesome place back in my hometown... since moving here i have found none that come close to las margaritas :(.. There is a place in Lafayette that is pretty good but it's an hour drive. It's worth it usually though

You can't go wrong with a place called "Las Margaritas".

In Sunday School we talked about Job. I so wished a couple of the youth that needed to hear this lesson would have been there. People often wonder why God would do this, or do that. Job was the perfect man to question that. There he was, walking uprightly with God, when BOOM! His life comes crashing down. He loses everything, including the "support" of his wife ("Just curse God and die!") and his friends ("surely you did something to deserve this"). Job doesn't know why all of these bad things are happening to him. Even though he knows that sin is not causing the problem and that he is not at fault - he still yet praises God. One of his responses:

quote:

Job 1:20-22

20 Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. 21 And he said:

“ Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked shall I return there.
The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the LORD.”
22 In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.

During the worship service, we sang the David Crowder song How He Loves. As I was worshipping. I could not help but picture Job singing this song.

Oh, to have faith like Job...

Okay ... found out last night it isn't a cold ... my body was nice enough to morph it into pneumonia! I went into the ER at 11:30 last night and ended up having 2 breathing treatments and 3 chest x-rays. Went home two hours later with a script for Azithromycin and Prednisone along with a refill for my Ventolin (I haven't needed that since I was preggers with Joseph the summer of 2005!) So now I get to ride it out and hope for the best. At least my dear sweet hubby is keeping the tea coming!!

Kara! Tell your body to leave you alone!!! Ugh, girl - you've had your fair share. *praying for a speedy recovery*

Sound like cheesecake is needed or would ice cream be better? What about cheesecake ice cream?

Now you're talkin'.

Actually, I had a keylime ice cream once. The first bite tasted good. After that...not so much.

That reminds me. The other day when I picked up for Cheesecakelette from school, we had to go to the grocery store to buy stuff for dinner. We were in the dairy section and all of a sudden she comes up to me with a Raspberry Cheesecake yogurt and asked me if I could buy it so she could have it as a snack the next day.

It was cheesecake, so who was I to say no? And it was the light yogurt, so she made a wise snack choice!

Ed and I are in San Antonio today for a quick trip. We will be coming back home tomorrow night, but hoping to play the "flight bump lottery" for future travel. As of now, our flights are completely booked.

Ray, have you tried the Fiber One Keylime Yogurt? It's SOOOO yummy.

Thanks, guys!

We're back! Our flight got back in 15 minutes late at 11:30 last night. Zzzzz.... We had to wait for a pilot. Apparently they didn't have one, so they called one in. This pilot happened to be at the gym when he called. I told Ed "I hope he took a shower!" *snicker* Good times.

They say that because it sounds much better than 'at the bar'.

The joys of parenthood. *sigh*

Cheesecakelette is now 9 1/2....and starting those "changes" of life. Ed and I found an awesome book that we will be presenting to her this week. (American Girl's The Body Book for Girls).

Why must she grow up so soon?

I was younger than her when "those changes" started, so I really feel for her. It totally hoovers starting into those things at such a young age!

Hi Kara!

I remember those changes as well. She got the book yesterday and seems interested in reading it. (Of course she would - she's a book worm!) She'll be alright. She's got enough women in her life to cover all the bases. lol.

Sorry if this is TMI for the men-folk out there. :)
