Our mothers tell us. Our fathers tell us. We read books (that may or may not be telling the truth) and watch movies (do any of them tell the truth?). We see boys in school. Later we date boys and start forming conclusions (if we're not very healthy we'll attract unhealthy or predatory boys and then we think all men are like that). Teen girls are adult bodies with childish experiences and minds inside. If a girl is raised in a Christian family, she might be taught how godly relationships between men and women are supposed to work, and reject boys/men who aren't spiritually healthy. That would be ideal.

By interacting with them in our families and friends, at school, and later as boyfriends, spouses, in laws, work colleagues. The same way as we learn about other women I guess.

By what we read, see, observe, and hear. And by experience. How our fathers treat us. And then how boys treat us when we're growing up. Those two things can be huge when it comes to a girl's understanding of what males are like. Eventually we learn more and more about how males are made physically, how they are wired, how they think. And we observe how they speak and behave. But life experience is a major factor in whether we will learn what is true, good, and wise in regards to how we think about men... or if we're going to believe lies. So ultimately, we need the Word in order to have the right filter through which to process what we've learned through the years -- whether those things are true about men or are mere assumptions/wrong conclusions. rmoore1925, was there something more specific you had in mind... that you were wondering about? I'm just not sure we've yet answered any underlying query you're pondering. Feel free to ask more questions. We'll try our best to answer them!

90'S sitcoms, Full House especially. :P Seriously though, I went to public school and learned some stuff there from classmates, but was still very naive and clueless about certain things all the way up til I was 23 and had to learn them from my husband.
