I've been invited to a covered dish get together, or potluck dinner as some might call it. I have no idea what to bring. I need some ideas. What is your favorite thing to make?
Thanks!

Are you supposed to take a main dish, or could it be any course of the meal?

I often take fruit salad, baked corn, or one of theose potato casseroles made with hash browns. Also deviled eggs, or baked beans made with bacon, sausage, and ground beef.

One idea I had when invited to West Seattle for a dinner was to put together a pasta salad (I threw one together at a salad bar in the grocery store), with turkey chunks, and then I bought a small bunch of dark seedless grapes. I cut the grapes in half length-wise and mixed it in with the salad.

The hostess pulled me aside after dinner and asked where in the world I had found those sweet olives.

haha

We have them at church and I've seen all kinds of thing; ham, turkey, italian sausage w/ peppers, tater caserole, salads, and breads.
